About Us

Our Story
Alevanah was born from a simple but powerful idea: that our stories, our places, and our heritage matter β€” and they deserve to be taught, told, and preserved with care.

What began as a need for culturally relevant learning materials grew into something deeper. As an educator, a mother, and a creative, I saw firsthand how children engage more fully when they recognize themselves, their country, and their experiences in what they are learning. Too often, local stories were missing, oversimplified, or treated as an afterthought.

Alevanah exists to change that. Rooted in Trinidad and Tobago, our resources are thoughtfully created to educate, inspire, and connect β€” whether in the classroom, at home, or beyond our shores. Each product is designed with intention, clarity, and respect for the learner, the teacher, and the culture it represents.

As Alevanah grows, so does the vision: from educational resources to visual storytelling, faith-based reflections, and creative works that celebrate creation, identity, and truth. This is more than a store β€” it is a growing body of work, carefully built layer by layer.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create meaningful, high-quality resources that:

  • Celebrate the stories, history, and heritage of Trinidad and Tobago

  • Support educators, parents, and learners with clear, engaging, and culturally relevant materials

  • Encourage reflection, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world around us

  • Honour creativity, integrity, and faith in both content and process

We are committed to building resources that are not rushed, not generic, and never disconnected from the people they serve.

Our Values

  • Integrity – We believe in doing what is right, even when it is unseen. Our work is created with honesty, care, and respect for learners and educators alike.

  • Stewardship – Stories, culture, and creativity are entrusted to us. We handle them thoughtfully, responsibly, and with long-term purpose in mind.

  • Cultural Relevance – Our identity matters. We centre local experiences, voices, and contexts so learners can see themselves reflected with dignity.

  • Faith & Reflection – Our work is guided by faith, grounded in truth, and shaped by a belief that learning and creativity should uplift, encourage, and restore.

  • Excellence with Purpose – We value quality over speed. Every resource is created with intention, clarity, and a commitment to meaningful impact.

Alevanah is growing β€” thoughtfully, patiently, and with purpose.
